Mouse dissection for the previous, and Talk Show for this..
After a week of preparation, finally, we presented our talk show today!!
Our group was the first group to present...
The topic we chosen to talk is "Lesion Gives Me Freedom and Happiness"..[it's about self-abuse]
and our show's name is "The Art of Positive Thinking"...
cool huh? I like them a lot!! =)
Woke up at 6 today to prepare and went to campus at 7... [I had insomnia last night, just imagine how tired was I.]
Set up the lecture hall...We locked everybody outside the hall including our lecturer, Ms. Kam!! xD
We did that because we want to surprise everybody..
We don't want people to find out what will we talk before we start our show..
8.30 a.m...We finally opened the door and let them to come in...
Gave them an orange ribbon (which represent self-injury awareness, like pink ribbon represent breast cancer awareness) and a handout when they passed through the door...
After everyone settled down, our show started...
Oh boy!!! I had to dance!!! I'm the host, that's why I had to do this...
You know, like Ellen Degeneres...She always dances at the opening of her show...
[Yeah, today I was the combination of Ellen Degeneres and Oprah Winfrey!! LOL...]
It was so embarassing!! When I rewatched the video...
OMG!! Damn awkward!! I danced like orang cacat!!! >.<
Everything went very smooth...
And...In a blink of eyes, we did it!!! We finished our talk show!!!
Yeeeeehaaaaaa~~
Felt very relieved after that!! We can scratch "Public Speaking Talk Show" from our to-do-list!!
Calmed down, sat down and listened to Ms. Kam's comments...
She said we did very well and she likes our show very much!!!!
*happy dance*She gives full mark for the aids and props!!!!!
We surprised her as she thought we will go for funny but instead we chose touching...
Oh, and also amazing chemistry between the victim (Jiamin) and her mother (Su Ern)...
As the host, I did a great job in bringing on the show by asking the questions...
The flow of our show is very well...
The biggest compliment she gave us was she said she almost cried...
She was really touched...
Because she had personal experience with self-abuse...
not her...but one of her friend in high school...
She said her friend was self-abusing and she didn't know how to help her friend...
I didn't really believe that at first...
Later Vinesh told me he saw Ms. Kam cried/almost cried...
He saw Ms. Kam wiped her eyes...
I could feel she really meant it when she said for the second time...
I was so touched...Thank you, Ms. Kam!
