TV Guide Magazine | News | Exclusive! Jorja Fox Speaks on Her CSI Return

It's official: Lauren Lee Smith is out on CSI, and Jorja Fox is back in! The prodigal star spoke exclusively to TVGuideMagazine.com about her return for at least five episodes.

So what prompted your return to CSI?
Right around March, I felt really rested and was itching to work—I was ready and going to meetings and auditioning. When I was in Atlanta [filming a guest shot on Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva], I got the call about CSI—it was completely out of the blue! I never thought I’d be going back to work with people that I knew, I thought I’d be starting new things. That was a surprise, so I’m going back to work and it’s with the same people who I’ve worked with for eight years in the past. [Laughs] I was thrilled! For me it was a huge compliment!

When do you begin filming?
I was there all week—they started shooting July 20. I think I’m about knee-deep back in the water. It has just been a ball and a half. I think CSI’s premiere episode is one of the best that I’ve ever read. It’s a pleasant surprise. You think, "They’re starting Season 10—how is it going to be as good as it was last year or four years ago?" And they blew me away.

Do you know yet what brings Sara back to Vegas?
I think all I can really say is [pause] the team has had a rough year—there has been a lot going on—and so Sara comes back mostly just to see if she can help for a while, because she loves those guys and she misses them.

And if Sara is back in the lab, where does that leave Gil? Ah! That will hopefully be a reveal in the premiere. They’ve prevented me from discussing Grissom at all. [Laughs]

It’s got to be the burning question for fans of the show… Thank you. We hope we’ve picked the right stuff to be a surprise.

- am back in hometown! but going back tomorrow.. =(

- watched "Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince" with my brother and sisters in cinema!! Just 4 of us..no parents...had sibling-bonding time! The movie was very nice, but not as amazing as the book...Can't believe they didn't include the climax part where everybody(the good guys duh!) fight with death eaters!!!!

- met with sayangs today!! chit-chat @ McD for a while then went to bowling...want to warn everybody who is reading this...DON'T EVER BOWLING IF YOU HAVE LONG NAILS!!

- OMFG!! I'm gonna be so busy on September!! First, Jorja Fox returns to CSI (premiere - 24th September)....Laurel Holloman is back on TV after sooooooooooo long!! Hell yeah!!! I've been waiting anything about her on TV again since TLW ended!!! She'll be guest starring on Castle's Season 2 premiere (21st September)!! Wish she's as HOT as she's in TLW! Well, she's going to play the wife of the dead man(victim)...even if she's one of those crippy-franky-desperate-housewife...she'll still be HOT HOT HOT for me, no matter what... love her and can't wait to see her again!! Last but not least, Jennifer Beals will be back on "Lie To Me" as the hot and alpha assistant U.S attorney, Zoe!! And, "House" is premiering on 21st September too!! So many shows to watch, and I'm excited!! BUT...my final exam is on that month!!! eeek!!

- Jorja Fox's "Drop Dead Diva" promo pics are out!!! OMG!! She's beautiful!!!!! weeeeeeerrrrrrr...it loooooookkkksss very good!! looking forward to see how Jane is going to defend my Jorja's character, a HOT soccer mom with criminal past...

- one more thing!!! Jennipoo's photobook is expected to be out on December!!!!!!!!!! yeeehaaa~ FINALLY!!! So going to get it no matter how much it costs me!!! but...i have one problem...HOW DO I GET IT? argh...maybe will ask Linn / Jennifer whoever in US to buy for me...ahhh...if Jennipoo is book-touring...then will ask them to get Jennifer's signature on it too...*grin like a fool & day-dreaming*

最近看了一部最新的美剧 —— "Drop Dead Diva"

超好看的！！！笑到我要死不死...xD

The show is very funny but very touching too...

Jorja Fox back on the case at 'CSI'
Will appear in five episodes of the show's 10th season.

"CSI" favorite Jorja Fox, last seen in a cameo in William Petersen's final episode in January when their characters Sara Sidle and Gil Grissom reunited in Costa Rica, is returning to the veteran crime drama.

She is said to appear in five episodes of the series' upcoming 10th season, reprising her role as Sara.

"We're thrilled for Jorja's return to CSI," said executive producer/showrunner Carol Mendelsohn. "The viewers and longtime CSI fans will be excited to discover where life has taken Sara Sidle and what brings her back to the CSI team in Las Vegas in our premiere episode."

There are no immediate plans for Petersen, whose character had a romantic relationship with Sara, to return for more episodes.

CBS executives and "CSI" producers had said that they were looking to make significant creative changes on the show next season following a ratings slide following Petersen's departure.

"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" returns with new episodes Sept. 24.

Fox, one of the show's original cast members, left during the eighth season, when her character, suffering job burnout, decided to leave the crime lab to deal with past demons.

Fox is repped by Domain and Framework.

bloody liver day!!

昨天的 Bio lab praticle 是这几个星期以来最最好好玩的一天！
哇咔咔咔咔...因为有得玩 centrifugation！！
边做 experiment 边拍照..呼呼呼...还拍了不少...

1st - cut the liver...
*our group got fresh liver, so ours is way more redder compare to other groups!*


2nd - grind the liver...it looked like period


3rd - after grinding, add some diluted water into it...


4th - pour it into a plastic tube...
*this is Su Ern's group's sample, see the difference of the colour? lol...*


5th - capand label...then put the tube into the centrifuge to spin in high speed for 5 minutes..


before the 5th step, promote your grinded-liver sample first!! xD


after 5 minutes, take out the tube, 2 layers will form.. supernatant (upper layer) and pellet (bottom layer)...*Su Ern's group's liver sample*


6th - suck out the supernatant and transfer it into another plastic tube..cap and label..then put it into centrifuge again to spin for 20 minutes...


Repeat the 6th step, centrifuge the sample for one more time for 30 minutes this time...
the final result...our group's final liver sample looks...



wakakakaka...pretty cool right?!!
We had so much fun when doing this experiment...

结果....结果....
我的屁股竟然就这么准，撞到了他的屁股！！>.<
哇~~~ 超级不好意思的！！脸红到不行...
sir 的脸也很红....我们就站在那里不停地和对方道歉...
然后 sir 就讲出了一句很炸到的话...

"You're one of the high scorer for the test, so I have to bump you! hehehe"
