Dear UTAR,
I know the rate of obesity is getting higher and higher nowadays, but making your students walking from one end of the campus to another end is not the way to reduce it!!
Today, I just wanted to do two simple things, 1) certify my documents for PTPTN purpose and 2) redo my student ID [the way I lost it is one of the most embarrassing thing that had ever happened on me!].
First, after I finished my 2nd Math mid-term [which I royally screwed up, again.], I went to Block F to get my documents certified from Block I. When I reached there, there's a big white paper stick on the glass window, it wrote "Documents certification for PTPTN: Please go to Heritage Hall (Block A)". Then, I walked all the way from Block F to Block A [FYI: It took at least 5 minutes even if you walk fast.].
There's a PTPTN briefing and contract signing going on for another faculty, so the heritage hall was packed. Plus, there's a long queue for documents certification. Immediately got into the line and wait patiently. After 30 minutes, finally it's my turn! Happily took out all of my documents, ready to hand them to the officer. Then, this happened!!
Officer: Which course are you?
Me: Biomedical Science.
Officer: You can't certify today. Please come again on your submission day. *smile*
You know what I want to do atm? I really wanted to bitch slap that smile off from her face!! WTF?
When I was queueing, one of my coursemate went to ask the officers if we can certify our documents today and they said yes!!! And, I queued for 30 minutes and they only tell me then that I can't certify today?? Why do they do that??
Left Heritage Hall in rage and defeated, went to Block C, DSA office to redo my student ID. Walked in there, asked the staff who was nearest to do entrance, "I lost my student ID. What should I do?" He pointed me to another staff. The other staff took out the "Lost & Found" folder and asked what's my name. She couldn't find my name [Duh! By the way I lost it!] in the list. So, she asked me to fill up the form. I'm too embarrassed to write out where I lost it, so I just told her I want to redo my ID. I got fooled by my lovely university for the second time within 10 minutes.
Staff: Oh, like that. You have to go to Block F, Division of Finance make the payment then go to ICTC and tell them you want to redo student ID.
WTF?? Again?? Deep breathed and calmed myself down.
Then, I walked all the way back to Block F again. So damn far and it's scorchingly hot!! Reached there, told the staff I want to redo my ID. blah blah blah...When I took out a RM 50 note ready to pay for the RM 25, the staff told me this, "We don't have enough small change. Can you please go anywhere and come back again with smaller notes?"
WTF?? That's it!! I gave up!!! Almost one hour, and I'd done nothing! NOTHING!!
Called my friends, asked them where they are and we went for lunch together. After lunch, returned to Division of Finance with smaller notes. With the receipt in my hand, walked to Block H ICTC. Then, I've only accomplished one of the thing in my list.
Damn you, UTAR! I wasted so many time and only got to do one thing in the end!!! Argh!! STUPID!!!
