Just watched 'The Kids Are All Right'..Would like to write something about it...My feeling and thoughts after watching it..
Synopsis of the movie:
The son of a same-sex couple seeks out the sperm donor who made his birth possible in this comedy from writer/director Lisa Cholodenko. The committed parents of two teenage children, Nic (Annette Bening) and Jules (Julianne Moore), are about to send their daughter, Joni (Mia Wasikowska), off to college when her younger brother, Laser (Josh Hutcherson), asks for her help in tracking down his biological father. Reluctantly inquiring with the sperm bank, Joni leaves her number so the office can pass it along to Laser's father. Enthusiastic at the thought of meeting his long lost offspring, Paul (Mark Ruffalo) musters the courage to reach out, and the family tree grows a new branch.

First of all, I want to say.....Annette Bening and Julianne Moore as a couple? DAMN HOT! Annette Bening is hot and Julianne Moore is super super hot!!
Despite the marriage issue they're facing, they're sooooooooo cute!! I seriously hope they're a real life couple, you know?! LOL..Be my lesbian mommies, please?? xD
Nic and Jules are so same as Bette and Tina in Season 1...Nic remind me of Bette while Jules, Tina...Nic being the sole breadwinner of the house, she's a perfectionist, she's alpha..So, Bette Porter...While Jules is the stay at home mom/wife, unemployed, the punching bag, not literally of course, of her wife when she's not happy...So, Tina Kennard, the Tina in Season 1..
This is why I connected to the movie and like it so much...
The one and only lesbian sex scene in the movie, I wouldn't call it a sex scene though because it is not a sex scene at all!! Attach screencap as proof..
And, I'm not a happy panda...I was looking forward to it, to be honest...I expected it to be so much more compare to this lousy thing they showed in the movie! I'm a perv, I know...However, it's kind of hilarious..They freakin' had sex while watching gay porn! Gay porn?! Seriously?! I just don't understand, you guys...Why?! LOL!
So back to the plot of the movie...Nic and Jules children, Joni and Laser contacted their sperm donor, Paul..Thus, all the dramas follow...The biggest plot of the movie totally disgust the hell out of me!! Jules had an affair with that freaking sperm donor!!!
Okay, I totally understand the reason of Jules betrayed Nic..She felt neglected and unappreciate, yada yada..Same shit as Tina's reason to have an affair with Henry in The L Word... But, ewwww!! Why this guy?
What is the thing about him that's so appealing? Freaking look at him! I'm so sorry Mark Ruffalo..But he is not sexy or hot at all!! I'll understand if Jules had affair with someone who looks like Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom, Tom Felton...Why can't they find a hotter and sexier man?? Mark Ruffalo is definitely not in my hot-guy-list and guy-who-worth-to-have-an-affair-with list!!
Blegh...just disgusting..And, the Paul and Jules sex scenes?! Why do we have that lousy lesbian sex scene while they showed tons of heterosexual sex scene that nobody care to watch? Nobody want to see this guy's butt!! Ewww...I'm gonna have nightmare...Not even half-naked Julianne Moore can make the scenes better...NO!!
It was so heart breaking when Nic found out the affair..She had to find out about that when she finally decided to be nice to Paul for her children's sake..
Isn't this the saddest thing?? She's so heart broken and sad...And, I cried a lot after that...I just cry and cry and cry...Nonstop...Why, Jules?? Why did you do this to your wife?? Damn, these two actress are so good!! They played their characters so well!! It's as if I'm involve in this turmoil too...so heart-wrenching...
I kind of hated Jules at that point..I just don't understand her like I don't understand Tina, why do they hurt the people they love the most? But, Jules was forgiven, for me not Nic, when she made that apology speech to her family...
I cried like a baby when I listen to what she said to them...T^T...So sad and touching...People, think before you cheat! Don't let your down there rules your head! Think of your spouse and your family..You don't want to hurt them with your mistake!! Stay loyal to your spouse and work out your issue..don't ever cheat, please...
The movie came to an end when Joni left home to college..
I cried again here...Especially when they're bidding goodbye to Joni...Julianne Moore and Annette Bening, why you always make me cry?? T^T
When they're on their way home...Although they didn't say much, they know everything will be okay...They still have to work on their relationship, they still have issues to resolve...But, everything will be fine eventually...
Despite all of my complains, I still love this movie a lot...It feels so real thanks to the amazing acting of Julianne Moore and Annette Bening...This movie touched my heart...I enjoyed it a lot... :)
